The Pine Bluff Chapter of the Links Inc. and the International Women’s Forum – Arkansas (IWFA) will host A Day of Dignity in Pine Bluff and Dumas Saturday, Nov. 2.


The purpose is to collect feminine products for females in middle school, according to a news release.


Donations may be taken to Saracen Landing at Pine Bluff from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Nov. 2.


“Research reveals that these young ladies miss valuable learning opportunities because they do not have needed feminine products,” according to a news release.


“These donations will fulfill a very quietly kept need in our communities and help these young ladies to be able to accomplish their goals. We would certainly appreciate any and all efforts to assist us in this purposeful endeavor,” according to the release.


The Links, an organization of educated women, founded in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania in 1946, has more than 288 chapters throughout the world.


“As an organization rooted in friendship and service, it provides assistance, leadership, and guidance to families and children through educational, cultural civic, and wellness activities and projects. The Pine Bluff Chapter, established in 1969, serves the Pine Bluff area through five program facets that plan and implement programs that seek to improve and enrich the lives of people in the community,” according to the release.
