The University of Arkansas at Monticello UAM Finance Club will present a free seminar for first-time home buyers.
The event will be held at 6 p.m. Monday, Nov. 4, in the Green Room of the Gibson University Center at UAM.
The guest speaker will be Tim Wooldridge, director of outreach of the Arkansas Development Finance Authority (ADFA.) Wooldridge will help prospective buyers identify how to qualify for grants of up to $10,000 toward their first home purchase, according to a news release.
ADFA aims to support economic growth in Arkansas, including home-ownership programs, which can reduce out-of-pocket expenses for eligible home buyers, according to the release.
“The UAM Finance Club is hosting the event in an effort to connect with and benefit the greater Southeast Arkansas community,” according to the release.
