Pine Bluff High School will host a college and career fair from 8 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 6, in the McFadden Gym.
Approximately 900 students are expected to attend the event featuring more than 30 representatives from colleges, universities, the military and various jobs, according to a news release.
Students will have the opportunity to view a variety of programs or services. On-site job interviews, information for prepping and completion of certifications, scholarships and financial aid application assistance, on-the-spot scholarship offers and career or job orientation will also be available to students.
All students in 9th-12th grades will be allowed to participate. This event is being hosted by the high school career coaches.
“The main focus of this event is to help ensure that our students prepare for life after high school, whether transitioning to two year or four year colleges, vocational/technical schools, armed forces, or the workforce,” according to the release.
Each vendor will have a table and/or area to serve students. Materials and handouts are welcomed.
