The Pine Bluff Complete Count (U.S. Census) Committee will host their 2nd Outreach Training for the Pine Bluff area Thursday, Dec. 19 at 5:30 p.m.

The event will be held at the Lakeside United Methodist Church, 1500 S Olive St, Pine Bluff.

Rosa Velazquez, Advocacy Director for Arkansas United will conduct the bilingual training. Danny U. Burl, Partnership Specialist Chicago Region will discuss the U.S. Census jobs and volunteer opportunities in the Pine Bluff/Jefferson County area and Pine Bluff Complete Count Chairperson Mary Liddell will talk about the upcoming events that will happen during and after the Christmas Holiday.

“Pine Bluff Complete Count Committee (PBCCC) is a volunteer committee established by the local government to increase awareness and motivate residents to respond to the 2020 Census,” a spokeswoman said in a press release. “CCC’s serve as state and local ‘census ambassador’ groups that play an integral part in ensuring a complete and accurate count of the community in the 2020 Census. The success of the census depends on community involvement at every level. The U.S. Census Bureau cannot conduct the 2020 Census alone.”

If anyone is interested in joining the PBCCC as an ambassador, signing up to partner with the city to help with the Census, or need additional information to apply for a job, please attend the meeting on Thursday. If you have questions, please contact Mary Liddell, Pine Bluff Complete Count Chairperson at 870.643.2383 or Danny U Burl, Partnership Specialist, Chicago Region 870.648.6905
