Dollarway High School recently recognized five students for their positive behavior toward the Behavioral Matrix SOAR. SOAR stands for self-discipline, on-task, attentive and respectful, according to a news release.


“These characteristics are behavior expectations of students at the high school,” according to the release.


As a reward, the students received tickets to attend the University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff football game Oct. 26.


The students were observed by school staff and administration for displaying exemplary behavior. They are also in compliance with one of the three district goals set by Superintendent Barbara Warren, according to the release.


Honorees included:


Carl Suggs, 10th grader — After high school graduation, Suggs plans to go to the military and attend college majoring in science.


Zhane’ Johnson, 10th grader — Johnson is the daughter of Gabrielle Woods. After high school, she plans to attend Howard University majoring in animal science.


Freddiemae Thompson, 11th grader — After high school, Thompson plans to attend the University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff majoring in biology with plans to attend medical school.


Niana Willians, 11th grader — After high school, she plans to attend UAPB majoring in biology followed by medical school.


Reginald Lee, 12fth grader — After high school, Lee plans to attend college and major in engineering.
