The Pine Bluff/Jefferson County Library System announces upcoming programs:
Altheimer Branch Library — Adult programs:
Charlie Cart — Date: Monday, Jan. 14, Time: 6-7 p.m. Participants will discuss and prepare quick meals for busy moms and dads. “Share your easy quick meal ideas and recipes and discover new ones,” a spokesman said in a news release.
Line Dancing — Date: Tuesday, Jan. 28, Time: 6-7 p.m. Line dancing classes will be held every fourth Tuesday of the month.
Pine Bluff Main Branch Library — Adult programs:
Adult Craft Class – Vision Boards Date: Thursday, Jan. 2, Time: 3:30-5:30 p.m. Location: second floor of Main Library. Patrons will design a vision board using magazines, markers, stickers, and inspirational messages. The board can be based around New Year’s resolutions, travel plans or wedding plans.
Adult Resume Writing Workshop — Date: Thursday, Jan. 9, Time: 5-6 p.m. Location: second floor of Main Library. Patrons will be taught tips and tricks to make a better resume. They will also be given a sample cover letter and resume. Laptop computers will be available for participants to use.
Puzzle Tournament — Date: Tuesday, Jan. 21, Time: 5-7 p.m. Location: second floor of Main Library. Patrons will split into five teams of four. They must register their teams at least one day before the tournament. They will be given similar puzzles with the same number of pieces. The first team to finish by the end of the time or the group closest to being done will win small prize packs for each member.
Main Branch Library — Programs for Teens/Adults:
Craft Class — Date: Thursday, Jan. 7, Time: 3:30-5:30 p.m. Location: second floor of Main Library. Participants will cut out a cardboard letter with an initial of their choice. Then using hot glue, yarn, and small accessories, they will cover and decorate the letter.
