Five University of Arkansas at Monticello Collegiate Farm Bureau members recently attended the 2019 State Farm Bureau Convention at Little Rock recently.
The members worked at a booth representing the UAM College of Forestry, Agriculture, & Natural Resources. They greeted Farm Bureau members and staff from across the state, provided information about the various degree programs offered within the college, and described UAM CFB activities.
The students also heard speakers share timely information about state and national agriculture issues. Participants included Alexandra Earnest, Lincoln County; Chase Garner, Ashley County; Lakelan Shourd, Drew County; Slayton Gardner, Drew County, and Aaron Stone, Lincoln County.
Bob Stark, UAM Collegiate Farm Bureau faculty advisor, and Jolene Hartley, CFANR Outreach & Engagement coordinator, developed the booth and arranged the state convention trip for the students.
Drew County Farm Bureau assisted with funding for the activity.
