A 19-year-old Pine Bluff man is being held at the adult detention center with no bond on allegations of three counts of capital murder.

Michael Moore is accused of killing Sidney Hayes, 33, on New Year’s Eve and causing the deaths of two other people whose bodies were found Friday after police were sent to 805 W. 25th Ave., for a welfare check.

Police identified one of those victims as Lisa Allen Moore, 53, the mother of Michael Moore. The second victim was a male who, according to police Friday night, has not been identified.

The deaths were the first and second homicides of 2020.

Lt. David DeFoor said in a press release that Lisa Moore had obvious stab wounds while the identity and cause of death of the male will be determined by the Arkansas State Crime Lab where the bodies were sent Saturday.

Michael Moore had previously been identified as the suspect in the death of Hayes, who was pronounced dead at the Emergency Room of Jefferson Regional. The cause of death was listed as apparent stab wounds to the upper part of the body.

Hayes was found outside Ocean’s Restaurant at 2213 E. Harding Ave., and taken to the hospital where he died.

His death was the 29th of 2019 inside the Pine Bluff city limits, 10 more than were reported in 2018. There were 28 homicides reported in 2017 in Pine Bluff.

In addition of three counts of capital murder, Michael Moore is being held on one count of abuse of a corpse and is expected to make his first court appearance in district court early next week.
