The Jefferson County Board of Election Commissioners will hold two meetings.

An election meeting will be conducted from 7:30 a.m. until approximately 8:30 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 14, to conduct the White Hall School District special election.

Commissioners will be visiting polling sites until approximately 6:30 p.m. when the unofficial results are announced, according to a news release.

Election commissioners will hold a regular meeting at 1:30 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 16, at the election center, 123 S. Main St.

“Persons interested in having items addressed should contact one of the election commissioners to have it added to the agenda, if acceptable to the chairman, before noon on Jan. 15,” according to the release.

Tentative agenda items include open or unresolved issues (previously called unfinished business): Jefferson Water Company polling site; and new business: Adjudicating any White Hall School District special election provisional ballots and certifying the election if there are no provisional ballots or unreturned absentee ballots that can change the unofficial results.
