Agriculture business students from the University of Arkansas at Monticello attended the 2020 Young Farmers and Ranchers Collegiate Conference recently at Hot Springs.
Envisioning the Future of Agriculture was the theme of the session presented by the Arkansas Farm Bureau, according to a news release.
Students listened to presentations on market outlook for crops and livestock in addition to workshops on business activism and job seeking advice.
During the closing event, and for some fun, attendees Chase Garner and Garret Martin won the corn bag toss competition. The two are students in the UAM College of Forestry, Agriculture and Natural Resources, according to the release.
Bob Stark, UAM professor and collegiate Farm Bureau faculty advisor, helped arrange the trip.
