The Mosaic Templars Cultural Center at Little Rock is hosting several free programs celebrating Black History Month. Events include:


ARTIST TALK: PERRION HURD – Friday, Feb. 21, noon.


Hurd will share about his creative process, influences and techniques in this informative master class. Guests will learn about what drives Hurd’s creative expression. Hurd will also share tips and encouragement for those who are interested in pursuing art as a career. Attendees are encouraged to bring a lunch and the museum will provide drinks and dessert.


DEATH BY DESIGN: THE SECRET HOLOCAUST OF WRIGHTSVILLE, ARKANSAS – Friday, Feb. 28, noon and 5 p.m.; Saturday, Feb. 29, 1 p.m.


This theatrical production by students from Meridian High School in Mississippi tells the story of the fire that killed 21 African American teenagers at a detention center in Wrightsville.
