The Pine Bluff Veterans Legal Clinic, 3206 S. Hazel St., held its grand opening and ribbon cutting ceremony Feb. 13.

Located in the Pine Bluff First Assembly Life Center (West Campus), the clinic will offer free services to veterans, according to a newsletter from the Pine Bluff Regional Chamber of Commerce.

Services to veterans include: public benefits such as SNAP, TEA, Medicaid, ARWorks; VA benefits, filing for Social Security benefits, bankruptcy, homeownership/landlord disputes, child support issues, domestic violence protection, collections and consumer problems and sealing an Arkansas criminal record.

“Former 11th Judicial Circuit Judge Berlin Jones and attorneys Eugene Hunt and Mircha King have volunteered their services for this important initiative,” a spokesman said.

The clinic is open the second Thursday of each month from 9 a.m. to noon, according to the newsletter.

Participants at the ribbon cutting included the Chamber’s Redcoats.
