Although school districts in Jefferson County will be closed until Monday, March 30, because of concerns over the coronavirus, Dollarway School District will offer meals to its students Monday through Friday, March 16-20, from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
Dollarway students can receive meals at the following sites:
Dollarway High School, 2602 Fluker St., Pine Bluff;
Mt. Bayou Missionary Baptist Church, 305 S. Edline St., Altheimer.
Breakfast and lunch items will be prepared and available in paper bags and to-go containers for Dollarway district students to pick up and take with them. Students will be required to sign in with a legible name and current school, according to a news release.
Meals will be chef’s choice, based on the current inventory at the site. Meals may vary from site to site. Absolutely no congregating or hanging out allowed, according to the release.
