The Arkansas Humanities Council is now accepting applications for the CARES Act Grant, according to a news release.

The deadline for submissions is Friday, May 22. The grant award date is May 29.

This CARES Act emergency funding is available to support at-risk humanities positions and projects at museums, libraries and archives, historic sites, historical societies, colleges and universities, and other cultural nonprofits that have been impacted by the coronavirus.

A major component of the council’s mission is to award grants that encourage nonprofit groups and organizations to plan, conduct and evaluate or to participate in projects in the humanities for Arkansas, according to the release.

Applicants must apply through the Arkansas Humanities Council online grant management system. To apply, visit https://www.grantinterface.com/Home/Logon?urlkey=arhc
