Pine Bluff area residents will have two opportunities to take the coronavirus (COVID-19) test in drive-thru settings Saturday, May 30.


Drive-thru testing for COVID-19 will be held from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday at the University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff football field. The Simmons Bank Field is located at the corner of North University Drive and Oliver Road.

Anyone who wants a test will be tested. Participants don’t need to have symptoms to be tested, according to a news release from Mayor Shirley Washington’s Office.

Supporters include Arkansas Department of Health, Community Health Centers of Arkansas, University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences, Arkansas Minority Health Commission and Arkansas Medical and the Dental and Pharmaceutical Association. Details: or mayor’s office, 870-730-2000, ext. 7.


Jefferson Comprehensive Care System Inc. (JCCSI) will offer COVID-19 testing from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday at the Pine Bluff Convention Center in parking lot D. Drivers must enter the lot from 10th Avenue. Participants will remain in their vehicles. A free lunch will be given to the first 100 people who are tested, according to a news release.

JCCSI operates seven clinics in Jefferson and Pulaski counties.

“The mission of JCCSI is to provide high quality, accessible primary healthcare and social services to all patients, especially to vulnerable and special populations, such as the homeless and individuals living with HIV/AIDS,” according to the release.
