• FIRST TRINITY CHURCH OF GOD IN CHRIST, 800 S. Catalpa St., will offer free supplies and information during a COVID-19 Community Assistance project from 9 a.m. to noon Saturday, June 20. People may drive through and receive supplies including gloves, masks, sanitizers and thermometers, according to a news release. Representatives will also be on site to assist people with the loss of income and insurance, emergency assistance food program, and information for patients with cancer or other diagnoses, according to the release. Elder Aaron Withers is First Trinity’s pastor. Marie King is the COVID-19 grant coordinator.


• NEW COMMUNITY CHURCH, 321 N. Birch St., will hold a 4th Sunday Service at 11 a.m. June 21. The guest speaker will be the Rev. Mark Stephens of Union Chapel Baptist Church at McGehee. New Community is observing guidance from the Arkansas Department of Health. Social distancing will be observed. Hand sanitizer stations are located at the entrances and exits at the church and masks are offered by ushers for those who don’t have them.


• HYPE COMMUNITIES INC., an outreach ministry of College Heights Church of Christ, invites children of all ages to participate in a Dreamers Poetry Competition. The topic should be “Making Dreams Reality.” Cash prizes are: 1st place - $100; 2nd place - $25; and 3rd place - $25. Submissions will be accepted via email at mooret6470@gmail.com through July 2. Sunday service begins at 11 a.m. First Baptist is observing guidance from the Arkansas Department of Health in order to protect the health of attendees.
