The Generator, a program with Go Forward Pine Bluff, will present a Virtual STEM Camp: “Decoding the COVID-19 Experience.” Sessions will be held July 20-24, for ages 12-14, and Aug. 3-7, for ages 15-17, according to a news release.

Fifteen students from the Pine Bluff area will be enrolled each week in a virtual coding summer camp to support digital skills. Students will develop an interactive story based on their personal experience of COVID-19 using Google CS First Storytelling tools and Scratch while enrolled in a Google classroom.

In Storytelling, students will use computer science to tell interactive stories. Storytelling provides students with a platform to share their individual stories and experiences. This summer camp will provide students with digital resources to create an outlet for their stories.
