The City of Pine Bluff will promote the 2020 Census in a roundup from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, July 11, on the parking lot of Southeast Arkansas College.
Residents can drive to the parking lot of SEARK’s Tech Center using the 18th Avenue entrance and complete the census in their vehicles. WiFi and Google Chromebooks, provided by the Pine Bluff School District, will be available. People may either connect to the WiFi on their own devices or use Chromebooks to complete the census questionnaire. Tables will also be set-up for walk-ups according to a news release.
Citizens will receive lunches, water bottles, snacks and other items donated by the U.S. Census Bureau and the Optimist Club of Pine Bluff. If people have completed the census prior to the roundup, they are encouraged to invite friends and families that have not.
Public health safety measures will be implemented throughout the roundup to protect against COVID-19. Citizens will receive free face masks and gloves.
Also SEARK announced that the college continues to monitor the COVID-19 situation closely. Limited services, such as admissions, financial aid, and advising are now open on campus. For instructions on how to access campus services in-person, visit https://www.seark.edu/how-seark-0.
