Due to the threat of Hurricane Laura, Southeast Arkansas College planned to close at 12:30 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 27. All classes (including online classes) and campus activities were to be cancelled. Students, faculty and staff should remain off-campus until further notice, according to a news release.

The campus will remain closed through the weekend and an announcement will be made concerning campus operations for next week by 3 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 30.

“This is a serious weather event and one that we want to ensure that our SEARK Family can remain as safe as possible,” SEARK President Steven Bloomberg said.

Due to the closure, enrollment for the Fall 2020 semester will be extended into next week. Specific details will be shared when available.

SEARK continues to monitor the COV19-19 situation closely. Limited services, such as admissions, financial aid, and advising are now open on campus. Details: https://www.seark.edu/how-seark-0.
