University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff men's basketball guard Trejon Ware announced Tuesday he is entering the transfer portal.

Ware, a 5-foot, 9-inch junior from Pearland, Texas, transferred to UAPB from Arkansas Baptist in 2022. He played 31 games this season with 12 starts and averaged 18.3 minutes per game.

He led the team in assists with 97, sixth-most in the SWAC, and averaged 3.4 points per game.

Ware's best performance with UAPB came March 9 at Alcorn State, when he scored 12 points with six rebounds and five assists. That was his only double-digit scoring game this season, though he scored 11 twice last season.

He is the fourth Golden Lion to enter the transfer portal, joining fellow guards Kylen Milton and Kuron Coleman, plus forward Ismael Plet.

In addition to those departures, guards Rashad Williams, Joe French and Lonnell Martin Jr. exhausted their eligibility this season. The only remaining player with more than one start this past season is forward Robert Lewis.
