Air Force Airman Jamarius S. Tyson graduated from basic military training at Joint Base San Antonio-Lackland, San Antonio, Texas.


The airman completed an intensive eight-week program that included training in military discipline and studies, Air Force core values, physical fitness and basic warfare principles and skills.


Airmen who complete basic training earn four credits toward an associate in applied science degree through the Community College of the Air Force.


Tyson is the son of Anchestinique and Christopher Tyson and step-son of Elizabeth Tyson of Queen City, Texas. He is also the brother of Marchrisya Tyson of Desoto, Texas, and grandson of Youka Watkins of Desoto, Texas, Lonnie Watkins of Hollis, Okla., Onaita Tyson of Queen City, Texas, and Donnie Tyson of Pine Bluff, Ark.


The airman is a 2014 graduate of Queen City High School, Queen City, Texas.
