The University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff will host a financial literacy training Wednesday, Nov. 12 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Henderson-Young Hall business building.

The University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff will host a financial literacy training Wednesday, Nov. 12 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Henderson-Young Hall business building.


The Foundation for the Mid South and Little Rock and Memphis branches of the Federal Reserve Bank of St. Louis will sponsor the event which aims to encourage the community and students to be financially prepared.


Representatives will present information on financial preparedness, budgeting and savings, understanding credit, identity theft and student loans.


The foundation will also give incentives to the UAPB groups with the most members attending. The first place winner will receive $300; second place - $200; and third place - $150. The group whose members stay the longest at the event will receive $100.
