First Trinity Church of God in Christ, 800 S. Catalpa St., will host the 56th pastoral celebration for DeWitt and Minnie Hill, beginning at 1 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 1, with a ceremony dedicating Catalpa street "In honor of Saint DeWitt Hill." Sunday, at 3 p.m., the celebration will feature a pastor, Elvis LaFlora of Kewanee, Ill., as the guest speaker.


Jerusalem No. 1 Missionary Baptist Church at Altheimer will sponsor its 139th anniversary at 2:30 p.m. Sunday. The guest speaker will be Rev. Lafayette Woods Sr., pastor of Mt. Bayou Missionary Baptist Church at Altheimer, along with ushers from his church. Mulberry Grove Male Chorus will sing.


Mt. Olive Missionary Baptist Church, 8523 Princeton Pike, will commemorate its 154th anniversary at 3 p.m. Sunday. The guest speaker will be Rev. Chavis Span, pastor of the Firm Foundation Church at Blytheville.


Polk Chapel Missionary Baptist Church near Star City will celebrate its 99th anniversary at 3 p.m. Sunday. The guest speaker will be Rev. G.L. Sanders, pastor of McGehee Chapel Missionary Baptist Church at McGehee.


New St. Hurricane Missionary Baptist Church, 3319 Ohio St., will celebrate its 158th anniversary at 11 a.m. Sunday. The guest speaker will be Rev. Roderick Smith.


Grace Temple Missionary Baptist Church, 909 S. Wisconsin St., celebrates its 110th anniversary at 2:30 p.m. Sunday. The guest pastor will be Rev. Timothy Pratt of Wheeler Chapel Missionary Baptist Church, along with his congregation. Wheeler Chapel and Prairie Lake Baptist Church choirs will sing.


New Faith Missionary Baptist Church, 3800 Fir St., will honor its pastor and wife, Rev. S.E. Shaw and Cassandra Shaw, Sunday at 3 p.m. Rev. Louis Williams Jr., pastor of St. Bethel Missionary Baptist Church, will deliver the sermon.


Mt. Carmel Missionary Baptist Church, 900 Grant St., will host the celebration of Rev. Daryl Graydon, pastor of First Baptist Church of Altheimer, who will be honored for 20 years of ministry at 7 p.m. Friday. Words of encouragement will be from Rev. Robert Willis, pastor of Amos Chapel Missionary Baptist Church. Guests also include Faith of Harmony and Pure Purpose.


New Salem Missionary Baptist Church at Sherrill will celebrate its 106th anniversary at 3 p.m. Sunday. The guest speaker will be Rev. Brian Castle, pastor of Indiana Street Baptist Church.


Pine Hill Missionary Baptist Church, 2101 Reeker St., will celebrate its 109th anniversary at 3 p.m. Sunday. The guest speaker is Rev. A.L. Brown, pastor of Mt. Nebo Missionary Baptist Church.


Concerts/Musicals


New Morning Star Missionary Baptist Church at Cornerstone will commemorate the 60th annual choir day at 2:30 p.m. Sunday. The guest preacher will be Rev. James Murry, pastor of Gospel Temple Baptist Church, accompanied by his choir and congregation. The choir of Thomas Chapel Baptist Church of Gould will also sing.


First Baptist Church at Dew Drop will sponsor its 19th choir anniversary at 3 p.m. Sunday. The guest speaker will be Rev. T.R. Ramey, pastor of St. John Missionary Baptist Church at Mitchellville.


Macedonia Missionary Baptist Church at Grady will observe the 22nd choir anniversary at 2:30 p.m. Sunday. The guest speaker will be Rev. Walter Witherspoon III, pastor of True Harvest Missionary Baptist Church at Dumas.


New Hope Missionary Baptist Church at Moscow will hold a pastoral pre-anniversary concert at 6 p.m. Sunday. Guests include choirs from Rose Hill Missionary Baptist Church at Meroney and Pilgrim Rest Missionary Baptist Church at Noble Lake.


Family Time Baptist Church and Ministries, 501 Ohio St., will hold rehearsal for its women’s conference choir at 7 p.m. Monday and Thursday. The director will be Kim Pettus of St. Luke Baptist Church at North Little Rock.


Men’s Day/Women’s Day


Almeta Missionary Baptist Church at Reedville will host its annual women’s day at 2:30 p.m. Sunday. The sermon will be by Rev. Raymond Hawkins, pastor of Jerusalem Missionary Baptist Church at West Dumas, accompanied by his congregation. Guests also include Jericho Missionary Baptist Church and Auburn Missionary Baptist Church, both of Gould.


Watkin Chapel Missionary Baptist Church, 800 S. Juniper St., will observe its annual women’s day Sunday at 3 p.m. The guest speaker will be Wanda Jones, first lady of Kingdom Builders Outreach Church of God in Christ. The guest director will be Donna Huskey of Old St. James Missionary Baptist Church.


Joy Community Church, 2101 E. Sixth Ave., will observe its women’s day at 4 p.m. Sunday. The guest speaker will be India Stewart Williams, pastor of Bethlehem Temple at Hot Springs and Deliverance Temple at Lonoke. Williams is also a graduate of the University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff.


Old Morning Star Baptist Church, 3116 Port Road, will host a women’s day brunch at 10 a.m. Saturday. The guest speaker will be Barbara Clay of First Assembly of God.


Revivals


Solid Rock Missionary Baptist Church, 2915 S. Main St., will sponsor revival at 7 p.m. Tuesday through Thursday. The guest speaker will be Rev. Terry Randolph, pastor of Gethsemane Missionary Baptist Church at Flint, Mich.


New Jerusalem #2 Missionary Baptist Church, 1005 W. 12th Ave., will host revival Wednesday through Friday at 7 p.m. The guest speaker will be Rev. Wiley Shelton, pastor of Motley Chapel Missionary Baptist Church.


Amos Chapel Missionary Baptist Church, 2401 Port Road, will host fall revival at 7 p.m. Tuesday through Thursday. The guest speaker will be Rev. Stanley Blair Sr., pastor of New Hope Missionary Baptist Church at Moscow.


Special Events


Unity Christian Fellowship Church, 2712 S. Bay St., will host family night Tuesdays to help strengthen the family unit. The schedule includes "Real Talk" mentorship for young men at 5 p.m., "Straight Talk" mentorship for young women at 6 p.m.; bible study at 6 p.m.; and financial management at 7 p.m. Refreshments will be served from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m.


Amos Chapel Missionary Baptist Church, 2401 Port Road, announces its annual mission program will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday. The guest speaker will be Rev. William Jarmon of Evening Star Missionary Baptist Church at McGehee.


An ordination service for Rev. Falandus Graydon will be held at 2:30 p.m. Sunday at Mt. Carmel Missionary Baptist Church, 900 Grant St. The sermon will be by Rev. Leroy Spears, pastor of Union Baptist Church.


A harvest drive will be held at Rose Hill Missionary Baptist Church at Meroney at 2 p.m. Sunday. The guest speaker will be Roderick Sowers, pastor of St. Harmony Missionary Baptist Church at Meroney, accompanied by his congregation and choir. Guests will also include the Owens family of McGehee and Burns family of Dumas.


True Vine "E" Missionary Baptist Church, 1001 W. Second Ave., will host a hymnology workshop at noon Saturday, Nov. 8. Rev. Richard P. Bifford Sr. will conduct the study of hymns that have carried believers through the years.


Youth


IHOP Praise Warriors of International House of Praise Ministry, 1002 E. Eighth Ave., will hold its youth praise explosion at 6 p.m. Saturday. Guests will include Prosperity Mime, Xavier Clark Dancers for Messiah, Imanii McFarland and Soldiers4Christ of Little Rock.
