With the November general election just a week away, the Jefferson County Board of Election Commissioners was told Tuesday that everything is ready to go.

"We’ve received the updates from the Secretary of State’s Office on the voter identification and we saved the old posters so we’re not going to be out any money," Election Coordinator Will Fox said during a brief meeting of the commission Tuesday.

Fox was referring to the decision by the Arkansas Supreme Court that threw out a requirement that voters show picture identification.

He said the voting machines will be delivered to poll locations Thursday. The commission voted without dissent to accept the logic and accuracy testing that had been done on those machines.

"We’re ready to go full bore Tuesday," Fox said.
