The Arkansas Parole Board has denied requests from two Southeast Arkansas residents to recommend that the governor commute their sentences.

Sedrick Pridgeon was convicted in Jefferson County of six counts of manufacture, delivery or possession of a controlled substance, six counts of manufacture, delivery or possession of a controlled substance as an habitual offender, and fraud, etc., drug paraphernalia as an habitual offender, and Larry Washington was convicted of first-degree murder in Drew County.


The board rejected requests from a total of 30 people Thursday, all of them currently serving prison sentences.
