Jordan Tillman, 20, was booked into the adult detention center Thursday afternoon on charges of capital murder, aggravated robbery and first-degree battery, with no bond possible.

Police Sgt. David De Foor said Tillman is accused in the shooting death of John Burnett Jr., 18, who was found April 14 at the intersection of LA. "Prexy" Davis Drive and Bell Street and was taken to Jefferson Regional Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead. The cause of death was a gunshot wound to the upper body.

A second man, Reginald Lee Jr., 26, was found in the 2500 block of Reeker Street with two gunshot wounds to the upper back and neck and was also taken to JRMC, where he was treated. He has since been released.

Prosecuting Attorney S. Kyle Hunter filed the charges against Tillman, and a warrant for his arrest was served by the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office.

There have been 14 homicides in Pine Bluff so far this year.
