A power outage caused a brief outage but did not otherwise impact the Dollarway School District operations on Tuesday, Dollarway Superintendent Bobby Acklin said.

Acklin said that he received a phone call from James Matthews Elementary Principal Linda Davis while he was driving to work. She told him that Matthews had lost power. Acklin said that by the time he arrived at the central office, the power had been restored.

"The lights were back on before school started," Acklin said Tuesday afternoon. "We had a regular day of school in Dollarway."

Phone calls left with Entergy were not immediately returned.
