A Star City woman who had been sought by police since August in connection with a theft has been arrested in Georgia, according to Pine Bluff Police Officer Richard Wegner.

A Star City woman who had been sought by police since August in connection with a theft has been arrested in Georgia, according to Pine Bluff Police Officer Richard Wegner.


Wegner said in a press release that Kelli Shavers, 34, was captured just outside Atlanta on a warrant and will be returned to Pine Bluff shortly.


Detective Scott Norton said in a report dated Aug. 18 that the manager of the McDonald’s at 3610 Camden Road, Chris Wilson, reported that bank deposits were missing and said Shavers was the manager over the weekend and was the person responsible for making the deposits.


According to the report, a total of $8,272.23 was missing for a three-day period.
