Glen Edward Moore, 83, of Pine Bluff, Ark., died Thursday, September 29, 2016, at the Veterans Hospital in Little Rock, Arkansas. He was born May 13, 1933, in Monticello, Ark. to James Edward and Stella May Marshall Moore.
Mr. Moore was retired from the Trucking Profession, and operated a productive Refrigeration Business. He was a former member of the First Baptist Church of Collins, Arkansas.
Mr. Moore served in the United States Navy during the Korean Conflict.
He was an active person who loved to fish and tell stories of his trucking days. He also was an avid baseball fan of the St. Louis Cardinals and an avid Arkansas Razorback Football and Basketball fan which he would call them “HOGS” every time they were on TV.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Patricia Ann Ivy Moore; two sons, Glenn A. and James H. Moore; daughter, Glena Ann Moore Harrison; his parents, James Edward and Stella May Marshall Moore; brother, James Warren Moore; and sister, Jewell I.V. Moore Nelson.
Survivors include one son, Gregg Moore; daughters, Wanda Green, Anita Brock and Peggy Moore all of Pine Bluff; nine grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m., Monday, October 3, 2016 at Pleasant Ridge Missionary Baptist Church with Pastor Julius Carter officiating.
Interment will follow in Roselawn Cemetery by Ralph Robinson & Son Funeral Directors.
Visitation will be Sunday afternoon from 2-4 p.m. at Robinson’s.
