Benjamin Dorrough, Sr.


Mr. Benjamin Dorrough, Sr., 98, of Pine Bluff, AR passed Monday, December 17, 2018. He was born on June 9, 1920, in Cornerville, AR to the late Idell Dorrough and Ophelia Boyd Dorrough.


He leaves to cherish his memories to: One Son, Benny Dorrough of Grand Prairie, TX; Four Daughters, Binnie Love of Kansas City, Mo, Catherine Woolfolk, Christine Dorrough-Nelson and Gloria Dorrough-Tillmon all of Pine Bluff, AR; Seven Grandchildren; 19 Great-Grandchildren.

Mrs. Rose Mary Bell, 88, of Pine Bluff, AR, passed Saturday, December 15, 2018.

Elizabeth Carroll


Elizabeth Carroll, 92, of Pine Bluff, Arkansas, went to be with the Lord, December 14, 2018, at JRMC Medical Center. Mrs. Carroll was born January 25, 1926, in Jefferson County, Arkansas, daughter of the late Johnnie Jackson and Ardella Jackson. She was reared and received her education in Pine Bluff. She married Clayborn Carroll, March 4, 1945, at Jefferson County, Arkansas.


She received the Lord Jesus Christ at a young age and attended Wheeler Chapel MB Church for over 50 years with her family. She was a proud homemaker and devoted wife for 73 years until Mr. Carroll’s passing this year in February. She cherished her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.


Mrs. Carroll is survived by five sons: Leo Carroll; Clayborn Carroll Jr.; Emmett Carroll (Gina); Hubert Carroll (Brenda); and Alonzo Carroll (Regina); two daughters: Della Lee and Verdine Johnson (Emmitt); 18 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; 3 sisters; 3 sister-in-laws; and host of nieces, nephews and cousins. She is preceded in death by her parents and two beautiful daughters- Pearlie Mae McLemore and Essie Carroll.


The family will receive friends Friday, December 21, 2018, from 1-4 p.m. at P.K. Miller Mortuary in Pine Bluff, Arkansas. Funeral services will be Saturday, December 22, 2018, at 2:00 p.m. at Wheeler Chapel MB Church, 3519 Wheeler Chapel Rd., Pine Bluff, Arkansas, with Pastor Timothy Pratt, Sr. officiating. Burial will follow at Mt. Lebanon Cemetery, Hooker, Arkansas.

Funeral services for Mrs. Esther Taylor will be on Saturday, at 10:30 a.m. December 22, 2018, at the P.K. Miller Mortuary. Visitation is Friday at the Mortuary from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Interment will be at the Mount Olive Cemetery.
