Ruth Ellen (Brown) Altstatt of Heavener, Oklahoma, was born January 12, 1934, in Heavener, Oklahoma, to Lewie R. and Dessie (Williams) Brown, and went home to be with the Lord on December 31, 2018, in Heavener, Oklahoma, at the age of 84.

She is survived by her husband of 66 years, George Altstatt; three daughters, Georgia (Doddie) Dean and husband Mike of Heavener, Oklahoma; Carrie (Candy) Irvin and husband Terry of White Hall, Arkansas; Nancy McClain and husband David of Heavener, Oklahoma; one son, Jeffrey (Jeff) Altstatt, and wife, Shelley (Wiles), of Heavener, Oklahoma; one brother, Lewie R. Brown II, and wife, Donna, of Pine Bluff, Arkansas; 13 grandchildren; 32 great-grandchildren; 10 great-great-grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of friends whom loved her very much.

She was preceded in death by her parents; paternal grandparents, William L. and Sophia Brown; maternal grandparents, Marion and Mattie Williams. Ruth married George Altstatt on March 22, 1952. She grew up in the Heavener area and was a resident of Pine Bluff, Arkansas from 1959 to 1998 before moving back to this area. She was a housewife and later on worked in fabric stores. Ruth loved spending time with her family and crocheting. She made hats for other cancer patients and lap quilts for the nursing home. Ruth was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend. She will be missed by all who loved and knew her.

Funeral service will be 2:00 p.m., Friday, January 4, 2019, at the First Baptist Church in Heavener, Oklahoma with Dr. Bob Harper officiating. Burial will follow in Heavener Memorial Park under the direction of Dowden-Roberts Funeral Home of Heavener, Oklahoma.

Pallbearers will be: Chris Dean, Patrick Dean, Scott Irvin, Bryan Altstatt, Andy Altstatt, and Greg McClain.

Honorary Pallbearers will be: Her great-grandsons and great-great-grandsons. Viewing will be from 8:30 a.m. until 8:30 p.m., Thursday at the funeral home. The family will visit with friends on Thursday, January 3, 2019, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Mary Tucker

Mary Cox Tucker, 97, of Pine Bluff, passed away Tuesday, January 1, 2019. She was born December 8, 1921, in Benton to the late Joseph and Annis Moore Cox. She was reared and educated in Scott and Lonoke, graduating from Lonoke High School. She then moved to the Noble Lake community in 1945 and lived there for almost the rest of her life. She resided at Gardner Nursing Home in Star City for the last 4 ½ years.

Mary had worked as a bookkeeper at Magic Mart and also at H.A and A.J Tucker Farms. She was a member of the Church of Christ at Grady for 41 years, and then was a member of the Pine Bluff Church of Christ at Sixth Street.

Also preceding her in death was her husband, Herman Tucker, whom she married on December 16, 1945; and siblings, Etta Anderson, Arch Cox, Stella Estell, Nettie Estell, Ada Daniel, Frank Cox, and Jim Cox.

Survivors include one son, Arthur Tucker of Pine Bluff; 3 grandchildren, Teri (Cary) Cossey of Monette, Amy (Jonathan) Simpson of Arkadelphia, Matthew (Christy) Tucker of Star City; and 6 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Friday, January 4, 2018, at the Chapel of Ralph Robinson and Son with John Shadowens officiating. Burial will be in Graceland Cemetery. Visitation will be 5:00-7:00 p.m. Thursday.

Harold Reynolds

Harold E. Reynolds, 77, of Star City, passed away Tuesday, January 1, 2019, at Drew Memorial Hospital in Monticello. He was born December 10, 1941, in Pine Bluff to the late Leroy Reynolds and Naomi May Reynolds Eagle. He was a member of Bethlehem Missionary Baptist Church; retired maintenance from C&L Electric Coop in Star City; charter member of Glendale Fire Department and he loved his kids, grandkids, and a great-grandchild.

Survivors include his wife of 53 years, Vera Brewster Reynolds of Star City; son, Chris (Monica) Reynolds of Bryant; daughter, Heather (Wally) Reynolds Fry of Star City; brother, Winfred (Jessie) Reynolds of Pine Bluff; sister, Wanda (Bob) Cathey of Pine Bluff; 5 grandchildren, Cody (Jacey) Andrews, Michaela Andrews, all of Star City, Jacob, Jeremy, and Justin Reynolds, all of Bryant; 1 great-grandchild, Finlee Andrews of Star City; and a host of nephews and nieces.

Angela Stocks

Angela Christine Stocks, 48, passed away January 1, 2019, at her home. Angie was born November 20, 1970, in Stuttgart, AR to Milton and Linda Peebles. She was raised in DeWitt, graduating from DeWitt High School in 1989. In 2004, Angie graduated from the Radiology Technology Program at SEARK and went on to work many years as a Radiology Technologist in the Cardiac Cath Lab and Special Procedures Department at JRMC. Angie raised two beautiful children she was most proud of, Ashley Michellle Fox and Randall Holden Fox, While working at JRMC, Angie met her soulmate, Rex Stocks and they were married October 23, 2004. They built a wonderful life together in Rison, AR.

Angie is survived by husband, Rex Stocks, of Rison; Her children Ashley Fox (Cody Pierce) of

Rison, and Randall Fox (Jayme Jo Berryman) of Monticello; her grandchildren who she was Chi Chi to, Aubree and Harper of Rison and Macyn and Kynnlee of Monticello. Angie will be missed terribly by her pets Hoss, Lulu and Mr. Biggs.

She is also survived by her parents, Milton and Linda Peebles of DeWitt; two sisters, Tina Horton (Terry) of Whitehall, AR and Nikki Vos (Daniel) of Jonesboro, Ar; 4 nieces and nephews, Makenzi and Buck Horton of Whitehall and Jacob and Whitney Vos of Jonesboro and several Aunts, Uncles and special cousins. Angie is also survived her in-laws Junior and Patsy Stocks, of Rison and a brother-in-law Bruce Stocks (Sharon) and their children Ashtyn, Aieslynn, and Aiden.

She was preceded in death her grandparents, Robert and Era Peebles of Kalamazoo, MI, and Charles Henry and Frances Trussell of DeWitt, AR; 3 nieces, Caitlin Horton, Hannah and Emma Vos.

Visitation will be Friday, January 4, 2019, at the Buie Funeral Home in Rison from 6 p.m.-9 p.m. Funeral will be Saturday, January 5, 2019, at 2:00 p.m. at the Buie Funeral Home.
