BR Henry, 91, of Hot Springs, formerly of Pine Bluff, died Monday, February 4, 2019.
Born November 30, 1927, in Guy, Arkansas (Faulkner County), he was the son of the late Guy G. Henry and Addie Vann Henry. He lived in Pine Bluff for the majority of his life where he attended elementary and high school. He was in the U. S. Navy for two years in 1945 and 1946 and then attended Arkansas State Teachers College (now University of Central Arkansas). He was then associated with a wholesale tobacco company as salesman for the next five years. In 1953 he married Iris Jean Price and formed his own independent insurance and real estate agency in the same year. He was the father of two daughters, Paula Ogden Massanelli and Pam Henry Smith. His first marriage ended in 1963.
In 1965 he married Faye Linzy, and they were together until her death in 2005. He was an active member of First Presbyterian Church in Pine Bluff for many years where he served as a Deacon and Elder. He was president and active with BR Henry, Inc., Insurers & Realtors in Pine Bluff from 1953 to 2007. He was past president of the Pine Bluff Board of Realtors and Realtor of the Year in 1968. He was past president of the Pine Bluff Insurance Exchange, a longtime member of the National Association of Real Estate Boards, Pine Bluff Board of Realtors, Independent Insurance Agents of America and Professional Insurance Agents of America. He was one of the original commissioners of the Pine Bluff Housing Authority and served as chairman for a number of years. For many years, he was active with the Pine Bluff Home Builders Association.
He developed numerous housing subdivisions and shopping centers in Pine Bluff, including Oak Park Village Shopping Center on West 28th Avenue and the Pine Bluff Shop Walk on West 6th Avenue.
He married Barbara V. Brown in 2007, and they moved to Hot Springs National Park for their retirement where they were active members of Hot Springs Baptist Church in Hot Springs.
Along with his parents, Mr. Henry was preceded in death by his brother, Johnny G. Henry and his sister, Flora Green.
Survivors include two daughters, Paula Ogden Massanelli (Steve) of Pine Bluff and Pamela Henry Smith of Hot Springs; five grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren, three step-children, Don N. Brown, Brooks V. Brown (Stephani) and Cappi Morgan (Chuck) and three step-grandchildren.
Visitation will be Saturday afternoon from 1:00 p.m. until service time at Robinson’s.
Funeral Services will be 2:00 PM, Saturday, February 9, 2019, in the Chapel of Ralph Robinson & Sons, 807 S Cherry St, Pine Bluff, AR 71601 with Reverend Mike Smith and Don Henry officiating.

Earnestine D. Smith, 93, formerly of Pine Bluff, passed February 1, 2019
Earnestine was born August 7, 1925. Funeral service at Pine Hill Baptist Church, 2101 W. Reeker Ave. on February 9, 2019, at 1:00 p.m.
Viewing of the body will be at 12:00 PM before the service at the church. Services are provided by P.K. Miller.
Family/visitation hour will be at P.K. Miller Mortuary from 7-8 p.m. Friday, February 8, 2019.
