Val Renee J. Greenwood, 79 of Palmyra, passed away on April 14, 2019 in Lincoln. She was born on August 14, 1939 to Nels Joseph & Elsie Rachel (Bierce) Robitaille in Huron, SD.

Val worked at home and sold Avon for many years. She enjoyed gardening and loved all of her pets over the years, especially her dogs and birds.

She is survived by her Children: Sherry Lynn Valette, Deborah (James) Frankel, Larry Dale Greenwood Jr., Rachelle Beggs; Grandchildren: Jessica, Justin Reynolds & Alysia Slater, Jessie Reynolds, Scott Thornton II, Jeremy Greenwood & Breanna, Zachery (Lauren) Beggs, Jimmy Dale Beggs; Great Grandchildren: Dylan Summers, Randy Reynolds III, Lyncoln Reynolds, Zayden Greenwood, Asa Beggs, Isla Beggs; Brother: Nels Joseph Robitaille Jr.; also many nieces, nephews and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, son: Mark Greenwood, grandson: Randy Reynolds II, brother: Leon, sister & brother-in-law: Leona & Glen.

Graveside services will be held on Thursday, April 18, 2019 at 11 A.M. at the Roca Cemetery in Roca, NE.

Visitation will be Wednesday, April 17 from 9 A.M. until 9 P.M. at the Fusselman Allen Harvey Funeral Home in Syracuse.

David Sherril Boyett, 73, of White Hall, Arkansas, passed away Sunday, April 14, 2019, at his home.

Mr. Boyett was born April 29, 1945, in Wasco, California, a son of the late Vermon Wm. and Cora Lee Glover Boyett. He was reared and received his education in Wasco, where he graduated from Wasco High School. He also attended Porterville Community College in Porterville, California.

Mr. Boyett had worked as a general manager at Otasco, Hixson Lumberyard, and a delivery driver for Sunbeam Bread Company.

He was a Baptist who enjoyed gardening and spending time with his grandchildren.

Mr. Boyett is survived by two daughters, Sheryl Dewald of Pismo Beach, California, and Susan Boyett of California; son, Sean Bailey of Atascadero, California; two stepchildren, Clayton Kamber of White Hall and Tammy Ashenberger of Searcy; seven grandchildren; two brothers, Ray Boyett of Lubbock, Texas and Dearl Boyett of White Hall.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Laura M. Boyett who passed away December 3, 2017; and a brother, Jimmy Boyett.

A private memorial service will be held at a later date.

Saint DeWitt Hill, Jr., 89, of Pine Bluff, transitioned to his heavenly home on April 15, 2019. Funeral services will be announced Christian Way Funeral Home.

Harry Stafford

Harry Eugene “Gene” Stafford, age 88, of Pine Bluff, passed away Monday, April 15, 2019.

Born May 31, 1930 at Lake Village, he was a son of the late Otis Lyle Stafford and Janey Ruth Welch Arnold. He grew up in Dumas, and moved to White Hall during his youth, where he was a member of the first White Hall football team. Gene graduated in the class of 1948.

He started his long career with Arkansas Power and Light Company on a surveying crew. He worked as a draftsman in the headquarters until transferring to the Woodward Substation of Middle South Utilities, ultimately retiring in 1990 from Entergy as a systems dispatcher.

A member of Olive Branch Missionary Baptist Church, Gene enjoyed collecting and repairing clocks. He also was an avid pocket watch collector and woodworker. His specialty was making boat paddles, many of which were too beautiful to put in the water and wound up as pieces of art on people’s walls.

Gene was also predeceased by his siblings, Lyle Stafford, Jane Tullous, and David Arnold.

Survivors include his wife of 59 years, Hilda Reed Stafford, whom he married on March 20, 1960; a son, Bryan Stafford and wife Stephanie of Little Rock; two grandsons, Caleb Staffordand Micah Stafford, whom he loved dearly; a special sister-in-law, Mattie Rees; and his loving caregiver of many years, Queshaun Brantley.

Visitation will be Saturday, April 20, 2019, beginning at 1:00 p.m. at Fuller Hale-South Funeral Chapel. The funeral service will follow at 2:30 p.m. with Dr. Roger Stewart officiating. Private burial will be in Graceland Cemetery.

Mr. John Dinneco Walker, 48 of Malvern, Arkansas passed Sunday, April 14, 2019.

Carolyn Allred

Carolyn H. Allred, 91, of White Hall, Arkansas, went to be with the Lord on April 16, 2019.

She was born January 10, 1928, in Anniston, Alabama, to Pirn and Lola Williamson Hammond.

Carolyn was a loving wife, mother, and Nonie with an unconditional love that set an example for many. That same love and sweet spirit made her a treasure to all who knew her. There was no end to her giving spirit. She will be greatly missed.

She retired as a Labtech from NCTR. After retirement she enjoyed flowers and gardening.

She was a member of Oak Grove Baptist Church and the Ruth Sunday School Class.

She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers, Hershel and Sherman Hammond and a sister, Laverne Hammond.

Survivors include her husband of 65 years, Charles Allred; a son, Kenneth Couch of Tucson, Arizona; daughters, Deborah Cochran (Elmer) of Batesville, Marion Allred of Batesville; a son, Douglas Allred (Sherry) of White Hall; a nephew, Jeff Lybrand and family of White Hall; brothers, Vaughn Gale Hammond of Eden, Georgia, Hulan Hammond of Alpine, Texas; grandchildren, Donna Wilson, Jennifer Couch, Adam Farley, Brent Arledge, Johnathan Arledge, Hannah Elliott, Brittney Post, Ashley Allred; eleven great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.

The family wishes to thank Jefferson Home Health and Baptist Medical Center in Little Rock for all the love and care they showed.

Visitation will be Friday, 10 AM to 11 AM at Robinson & Fuller White Hall Funeral Chapel.
