Lois M. Dendy-Jones, 86, of Hot Springs, Arkansas transitioned peacefully to be with the Lord on Tuesday, May 7, 2019, at her home, surrounded by family. A former resident of Altheimer, Arkansas, she was the daughter of the late Samuel and Elizabeth Atkinson-Dendy of Altheimer, and was a 1954 graduate of Altheimer High School. She was pre-deceased by four siblings, Samuel Dendy, Jr., Jon Dendy, Edward Dendy, and Queen Ester Withers; and one son, Nathan L. Dendy.
Survivors include three daughters, Brenda (Melvin) McCray of Palestine, Texas, Vanessa (Frank) Thompson, and Pricilla Lewis of Hot Springs; a brother, Nathan (Deloris) Dendy of Little Rock; three sisters, Violet Dendy of Hot Springs, Patricia Dendy of Marvell, AR and Emily Dendy of Pine Bluff; three daughters-in-law, 10 grandchildren, 32 great-children, 3 great-great grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews and extended family members.
Funeral services celebrating her life were held in Hot Springs Saturday, May 11, 2019 at Gethsemane Baptist Church, and ministry of comfort was entrusted to Carrigan Memorial Funeral Services, Inc. of Hot Springs.
