Peggie Neal Hood Coats passed away May 28th, 2019.

Peggie was born on January 30th 1949 to Wendell and Jessie Hood in Pinebluff, Arkansas.

Peggie married Ron Nichols, together they had two sons Ronnie and Randall Nichols. She later remarried Rick Coats he brought Kelly and Chad Coats into the family and together they had one son Jon Coats.

She was preceded in death by her husband Rick Coats, her Son Ronnie Nichols, her parents Wendell and Jessie Hood and her sister Betty Housen.

She survived by her son Randall (Heather) Nichols, her son Jon Coats. Grandchildren Ashleigh(Chad) Sullivan, Vanessa Nichols, Randall Nichols Jr. , Felica and Hannah Medeiros and Jon's Children in Oregon. Great Grandchildren Emma and Gracelynn Sullivan.

A graveside service will be held by her family on Saturday June 8th, 2019 at 12pm at Graceland Cemetery in Pine Bluff, Arkansas.

In Lieu of flowers please donate to the local Children's Hospital. She loved to dress up in Clown make up to entertain children.

Carl Daniels

Carl Edward “Eddie” Daniels, 76 of Bearden, AR passed away on June 3, 2109 at DCMC.

He was born August 26, 1942 in Camden, AR to Pauline Sullivan Daniels and Reed Daniels.

His parents preceded him in death.

He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Linda, of Bearden; daughter and son-in-law, Paula and Scooter Bounds of Bearden; sister and brother-in-law Beth and John Larson of Orlando, FL.

He is also survived by God granddaughters Lexis Matkin of Kingsland, AR and Sydney Holloway of Bearden, AR and God great granddaughter Ava Matkin.

He served in the United States Air Force for four years and was stationed out of Minot, North Dakota. He retired from Lockheed Martin after 25 years.

A memorial service will be at 2:00 PM on Saturday, June 8, 2019 at Benton Funeral Home in Fordyce with Pastors Mark Wheeler and David Dillard officiating.

Mary Isabelle Maxwell, 89 of Star City, died Friday.

Services are 11:00AM Saturday at St. Ollie Missionary Baptist Church. Pastor Pernell Maxwell officiating. Visitation is 5:00-7:00PM Friday at Griffin Funeral Service. Burial at Campground Cemetery in Drew County.
