Mrs. Mary E. Wentz, 94 of Camden, Arkansas, formerly of White Hall, Arkansas. Died Tuesday, July 9, 2019, at the Ouachita Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Camden. Mrs. Wentz was born in Ingalls, the daughter of the late Raymond and Nezzie Brantley James. A life-long dedicated home maker, she was a longtime member of the Salem Missionary Baptist Church in Watson Chapel, where she taught Sunday school for many years.


She is survived by her daughters, Sandra McKenzie and husband Bob of White Hall; Sharri Germann and husband Doug of Camden. One sister, Betty Anderson of Morrilton; six grandchildren, Jackie Jones and husband Troy of Little Rock; Kim McKenzie of White Hall, Brian Clay of Mabelvale, Angel Ross of White Hall, Bo McKenzie of White Hall, and Jake Bradford of Camden; along with 6 great grand-children, nieces, nephews, and other relatives.`


She was preceded in death by her husband, E. E. “Pete” Wentz; her parents, Raymond and Nezzie Brantley James and Mr. and Mrs. Wylie Harrison Hagood, “Auntie and Uncle Doc,” of Crossett, who took Mary and her siblings into their home and raised them as their own following the death of their parents; her daughter, Mary Lou Clay of Mabelvale. She was also preceded in death by two sisters, Maxine Murphy of Hamburg, AR and Willie Jean Crowther of Capistrano, CA; and two brothers, Noland “Sonny” Hagood of Strong, and Robert James of Paris, AR.


A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, July 13th at the Upchurch Cemetery in Mabelvale, Saline County.

Mr. Carlton “CJ” James King 83, of Pine Bluff, Arkansas passed Sunday, July 7, 2019. He was born February 10, 1936, in Moscow, AR to the late Frank King and Georgia (Parker) King.


He leaves to cherish his memories son, Carlton King of Radcliff, Kentucky; daughters, Sandra King of White Hall, AR; Evelyn Collins of Moscow, AR; Patricia Bush and Carolyn Day both of Pine Bluff, AR; sisters, Dorothy Lofton of San Antonio, Texas; Linda Thomas and Mable Clark both of Pine Bluff, AR; 9 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren.


Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Friday, July 12, 2019, at New Hope Missionary Baptist Church Moscow, AR by Pastor Stanley Blair. Burial in Belmont Cemetery, Moscow, AR by Brown Funeral Home of Pine Bluff. Visitation/Family hour Thursday July 11, 2019, 5:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Brown Funeral Home Pine Bluff. His body will lie in-state at the church Friday 10:15 a.m. until the start of service.
