Sa’Tavis Reece (Shank) was born April 3, 2001, to Chinnettia Reece Patterson and Eugen Richmond.


Sa’Tavis enjoyed playing football, rapping, and being with his daughter. Sa’Tavis leaves behind his daughter, A’Lani Reece; parents; stepfather, Kendral Patterson Sr; grandparents, Virginia McCray, Donald McCray and Annie Sumerall. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, July 27, 2019, at St. John AME Church. Interment will be in Forrest Lawn Cemetery by the P.K. Miller


Mortuary. Visitation will be held at the mortuary this evening from 6-7 p.m. Sa’Tavis will lie in repose at the church on Saturday morning from 10 a.m. until the time of service.


James Williams


James Alexander Williams went to be with the Lord on Thursday, July 18, 2019 at the age of 89. He was born October 30, 1929 in Pine Bluff to Absolom Alexander and Mary KyleWilliams.


He attended High School in Pine Bluff, and after graduating from SMU Law School he honorably served his country in the US Navy during the Korean War aboard the USS St Paul.


He was married to Janet Louise Bray, with whom he had three daughters, and after her passing, he married Julia Ann McGehee. He practiced law in Dallas, Texas for many years up until he retired after moving to Arkansas with his second wife. He was an active member in the Methodist Church throughout his lifetime, and he was a loving husband, son, brother, father and uncle.


He was preceded in death by his parents, his sister Kathleen Drumwright and her husband Henry, his wife Janet and wife Julia Ann. He is survived by his children Laura Kaufman and her husband Michael, Victoria Williams, and Diana Williams, his step-daughter Julie Honeycutt and her husband Michael, and their children Alexandra and Christina, his nephews Mark Drumwright and his sons and grandchildren and Joe and Mary Drumwright and their sons and grandchildren.


Burial by Ralph Robinson & Son will be at Bellwood Annex Cemetery in Pine Bluff, Arkansas on Tuesday, July 30th, at 10:00am. A Celebration of Life service is being planned for October in Pine Bluff.

Interment in Forrest Lawn Cemetery by Brown Funeral Home of Pine Bluff. Visitation Friday, July 26, 2019, 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Brown Funeral Home Pine Bluff. His body will lie in-state at the Church Saturday 9:15 a.m. until the start of service.

James Mosby, 93 of Pine Bluff, passed July 15, 2019. Born June 20, 1926 at Swan Lake, AR to the late George and Clara Mosby.


Survivors include a sister, Willie M. Laws of Pine Bluff, and a host of nieces and nephews.


Funeral services will be Saturday at 1:00 p.m. at Mt. Carmal Baptist Church by Rev. Anthony Craig. Burial will be in Forest Lawn Cemetery by Henson-Holcomb Mortuary.


Visitation will be Friday from 6 to 7 p.m. at the Mortuary.
