Tifford L. Rogers, 56, of Roanoke, Virginia, (formerly of Pine Bluff) passed away August 25, 2019, at Lewis-Gale Hospital in Salem, Virginia.
Tiff was born March 10, 1963, in Pine Bluff, to Jeanette Strickland Sipes and the late Lowell Crawford Rogers, Jr. He was reared and received his education in Pine Bluff. He moved to Roanoke, Virginia about 15 years ago and took a job at Industrial Apparatus Repair as a motor rewinder. He loved his job and was a very hard worker.
He enjoyed his spare time sitting in his recliner watching Ultimate Fighting Championship and drinking his Budweiser beer. He also enjoyed spending time with his granddaughter Julianna and chasing her around the house. He loved to fish and hunt with his daughter whom he loved more than anything in the world.
Tiff is survived by his loving daughter, Katelyn Nicole Rogers of Roanoke, Virginia; a stepdaughter, Linda Buzbee of Christianburg, Virginia; his partner of 28 years, Gail Buzbee of Roanoke, Virginia; sister, Melissa Roberts of Pine Bluff; brother, John Rogers of Arkansas; his mother, Jeanette Strickland Sipes of Pine Bluff; and his granddaughter, Julianna Buzbee.
He was preceded in death by his father, Lowell Crawford Rogers, Jr.; his brother, Lowell Ray Rogers; and his stepdaughter, Julie Elizabeth Stern.
Visitation will be Thursday, September 5, 2019, 6:00 – 8:00 PM, at Robinson’s.
Funeral services will be Friday, September 6, 2019, 10:00 AM, in the Chapel of Ralph Robinson and Son. Burial will follow at Mt. Ida Cemetery (a.k.a. Musgrove Cemetery). Online register: www.ralphrobinsonandson.com .

Donald Richard Barranco, Sr., 82, of Cabot, passed away September 3, 2019. He was born June 23, 1937 in Pine Bluff to the late Phillip and Mildred Harris Barranco.
Don spent his entire career, which spanned forty-five years, with Safeway Grocery Stores. He began as a bag boy, progressed into management and traveled to many stores in the United States. He was also instrumental in opening stores and securing investors in Egypt and Dubai. Don was a member of the Rotary Club in Arizona and was an usher at his church. He enjoyed his family, especially his grandchildren. In addition to his parents, Don was preceded in death by his sons, David Barranco and Jimmy Hollis.
Survivors include his wife, Carol; children, Wendy Barranco, Ricky Barranco and Don (Mindy) Barranco, Jr.; three grandchildren, Braxton, Sky and Jordan Barranco and one sister, Carolyn Sanders.
Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m., Friday, September 6, 2019 at Moore’s Cabot Funeral Home. Visitation will be 6:00-8:00 p.m., Thursday, September 5, 2019, at the funeral home.
