Yvonne Cotner


Yvonne Gray Cotner, 83, of Pine Bluff, died Saturday, September 7, 2019. She was born February 17, 1936 in Gould and was the daughter of the late Thester D. and Lucille Crabb Gray.


She graduated from Gould High School in 1953.


Yvonne married Carroll D. Cotner on November 14, 1953. They have two children.


Yvonne was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Harold and Leon Gray; and grandson, Dr. Brian K. Taylor.


Yvonne is survived by her husband of 65 years, Carrol Dean Cotner; her children, Lucelia (Dee) Mullikin and Mary (Earl) Reaves; grandchildren, Matthew Mullikin, Jessica (Daniel) Guyewski, Jacqueline (Juice) Kirts and Rebecca (Ben) Brantley; great grandchildren, Nathan and Aaron Taylor, Jacob Guyewski, Lucy Kirts, Alex and Anna Brantley; and brother, David Gray.


Funeral Services will be 11:00 AM Tuesday, September 10, 2019 at Robinson Fuller White Hall Chapel with Rev. Clarence Fell officiating. Interment will be in Graceland Cemetery. Jerry Townsend


Jerry Eugene Townsend, age 86, of Redfield, passed away on September 6, 2019. He was born in Roland, Arkansas, on April 9, 1933 to the late Allen and Amanda Gentry.


He was preceded in death by his wife, Mona Townsend; grandson, Ryan Reed, and two sisters. He was a lifetime member of the Oak Grove Hunting Club in Cornerville and a retired Truck Driver.


Jerry is survived by his daughter, Geri Reed; son, Allen Townsend; step-son, Timothy Cooper; granddaughter, Rachel Reed, and special friend, Jane Marsh.


A family planned Memorial Service will be held Saturday, September 14, 11:00 a.m., at Redfield United Methodist Church, 210 River Road, Redfield. Visitation will follow in the Fellowship Hall.

Myrtle Jackson


Mrs. Myrtle Wise Jackson 57, of White Hall, Arkansas passed Tuesday, September 3, 2019. She was born May 27, 1962, in Mt. Bayou, Mississippi to the late Frank Mayweather, Jr., and Essie (Wise) Mayweather.


Her memories will be cherished by her husband, Rickey C. Jackson of White Hall, AR; son, Cordera Cain of Pine Bluff, AR; two daughters, Makesha Mayweather of White Hall, AR; and Rickei Jackson of Conway, AR; brothers, Frank Mayweather, III of Sherwood, AR; Charles Mayweather, and Donald Mayweather both of Milwaukee, Wisconsin; Chuckey Mayweather, Guy Mayweather, and Robin Mayweather all of Pine Bluff, AR; sisters, Essie Adams of North Little Rock, AR; Wardean Johnson, and Michelle Bray both of Pine Bluff, AR; 12 grandchildren.

Theo Moreau


Theo Moreau, Jr., 80, of White Hall, died Friday, September 6, 2019.


Born in Basile, Louisiana on December 2, 1938, he was a son of the late Theo Moreau, Sr. and Elvin Ledoux Moreau. He also served in the United States Army.


Theo moved to Pine Bluff in 1960. For 43 years, he worked as a meat cutter for Weingarten’s, Safeway, Harvest Foods, and Brookshire’s Grocery Stores. He had attended Maranatha Baptist Church and Bethany Baptist Church.


He was well-known in the local law-enforcement community. Over the period of 30 years, from his beginning as an auxiliary deputy sheriff assigned to the mounted patrol, he rose to the rank of Major prior to his retirement in 2011.


Theo was also predeceased by his first wife, Linda Carol Green Moreau in 2005; two sisters, Dorothy LeBlanc and Helena Leger; a brother, Robert Moreau; and a half-brother, L. J. Moreau.


Survivors include his wife, Gail Johnston Everette-Moreau; three children, Pamela Dunn, Kim Pharr, and Stephen Moreau; a sister, Clotile Fontenot; a brother, Kenneth Moreau; ten grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and two step-sons, Jess Everette and Jace Everette.


Funeral services will be Wednesday, September 11, 2019, 10:00 a.m. at Fuller Hale-South Funeral Chapel with Rev. Danny Everette officiating. Burial will follow in Graceland Cemetery.
