Arthur Graham Tucker, 95, of White Hall, passed away Friday, November 1, 2019. He was born April 17, 1924 in Dardanelle to Mack and Dottie Ruth Hunley Tucker.
He attended school in Sherrill He enlisted in the U.S. Army in 1943 and served in Germany under General Patton during World War II. Arthur was discharged in 1946.
Arthur married Jessie Louise Hankins Tucker February 22, 1947 in Alameda, California. He lived and worked in California until 1956, then returned to Arkansas. Arthur, along with his wife and son owned and operated a dairy farm in northern Arkansas for several years. He later moved to Pine Bluff and worked at Central Moloney. Arthur and his wife then owned and operated Tucker’s Nursery and A & J Enterprise for 30 years, until they retired.
After retiring, he and his wife enjoyed traveling, including celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary with a cruise to Hawaii. The next year they drove to Alaska and also made a short trip to Washington, D.C.
He was a member of Hardin Baptist Church in White Hall.
Preceding him in death were his parents, Mack and Dottie Tucker; his wife, Jessie Louise Hankins Tucker; son, Ronnie Dale Tucker; brother, Samuel Carl Tucker; and sisters, Geraldine Lance, and Reba Camp.
Survivors include his granddaughter, Rhonda Gober (Mike); brother, Raymond Leon Tucker; sisters, Maxine Bryant, and Pat Torres; and a great-grandchild, Mary Rose Gober.
Funeral Services will be 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, November 5, 2019 at Hardin Baptist Church with Reverend Johnny Taylor officiating. Burial with military honors will be in Jackson Cemetery in Grant County. Visitation will be from 10:00-11:00 a.m. Tuesday at the church. Online condolences at www.ralphrobinsonandson.com.
Francis Arvid “Frank” Knudson, 84, of Conway, AR went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, October 30, 2019.
Frank was born August 4, 1935 in Cylinder, IA, to Silas and Zella Knudson. Frank was a United States Army Veteran who served in the Korean War.
He enjoyed his passion for meat cutting for over 40 years and worked for several large chain stores before eventually opening his own meat market until retirement. He was never one to sit around and returned to work at Orbit Valve where he “retired” before returning to work once more with a Plumbing and Pipe Fitting Union at the Pine Bluff Arsenal.
Frank loved spending time with his family and his beautiful wife of 59 years, and watching sports, particularly his beloved Green Bay Packers. He was preceded in death by his parents; four brothers and one sister.
Survivors include his wife, Wanda Anita Knudson; son, David Knudson and wife Teresa of Bryant; son, Dave Carlson and wife Lori of Omaha, NE; daughter Dee Poe and husband Bob of Conway; daughter Donya Linker and fiancé Shawn Dunn of Redfield; daughter Dawn Logan and husband J.P. of Conway; 14 grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be at 2:30 p.m., Saturday, November 2, 2019, at Rock Solid Church in Conway. Visitation will be Saturday at the church from 1:30 p.m., until service time.
