Dr. Calvin McRae Bracy, 79, of Hot Springs, formerly of Pine Bluff, died Sunday, November 3, 2019.
He was born February 29, 1940, in Little Rock, son of Sam Bracy and Pauline Cherry Bracy.
Dr. Bracy was reared and received his early education in Little Rock. He earned his bachelor’s degree from the University of Arkansas at Fayetteville and graduated from the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences Medical School in Little Rock. Dr. Bracy served his residency at St. John’s in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
He served in the United States Army and served at the Red Stone Arsenal in Huntsville, Alabama, where he served as Chief OB/GYN.
Dr. Bracy then started his OB/GYN practice in Pine Bluff, where he served for the next 40 years at Jefferson Regional Medical Center and delivered thousands of babies in South Arkansas. Dr. Bracy treated every patient with special care and attention, and dearly loved his work and caring for people.
He served on the Arkansas State Medical Board and State Board of OB/GYN. Dr. Bracy also served on the Arkansas Medical Society Board of Trustees.
Dr. Bracy enjoyed duck hunting and golf, but his favorite past-time was spending time with his grandchildren. He was also a member of Ducks Unlimited.
He was a member of First United Methodist Church of Pine Bluff.
Dr. Bracy was preceded in death by his parents; son, Calvin McRae Bracy, Jr.; and brother, Sam Bracy.
Survivors include his wife, Melinda Louise Mosley Bracy; son, Dr. Brian Keith Bracy and his wife, Chauna; brother, Louis Fletcher Bracy; three grandchildren, Hudson Claire Bracy, Wells McRae Bracy and Jed Anderson Bracy; and their beloved dog, Snookie.
A memorial service will be 1:30 p.m., Saturday, November 9, 2019, in the Chapel of Ralph Robinson and Son. Visitation will follow the service at Robinson’s.

Tracy G. Isreal, 60, of Pine Bluff, AR passed away October 26, 2019, in Stuttgart, AR. He was a loving and faithful husband of three years to Tia Okolo-Isreal.
He is survived by his son, Nicholas Isreal (Latoya); stepson, Savion Slater; two daughters Ericka and Lesley Walker; plus a host of brothers and sisters.
This man of God will be laid to rest November 9, 2019, in his hometown Wynne, AR. Visitation starts at 11 a.m. and services start at 12 p.m. Both will be at Johnson’s Funeral Home.
Audrey Kathleen Hall Branan, 95, 65 years resident of Pine Bluff, went to be with the Lord, Tuesday, November 5, 2019, at The Villages at General Baptist Healthcare in Pine Bluff.
Mrs. Branan was born September 10, 1924, in Pine Bluff, a daughter of the late Robert Absalom and Audrey Browning Hall. She was reared and received her education in Rison, Arkansas.
Mrs. Branan was a waitress for 60 years, where she worked at Tommy’s Café and John Noah’s Restaurant, and retired at the age of 77.
She was a member of Double Wells Assembly of God Church.
She is survived by her son, James T. (Kathy) Hall of Oil Trough, Arkansas; daughter, Brenda Grice Parks of Pine Bluff; grandchildren, Denise (Mike) Hickman of Pine Bluff, Brock Stover of Pine Bluff, Christopher (Melanie) Hall of Batesville, Keelan Hall and Tara Denise Hall, both of Oil Trough; great-grandchildren, Justin Hickman of Stuttgart, Zachary (Kimberly) Hickman of El Dorado, Casey Michelle Hickman of Pine Bluff, Cody (Hannah) Hickman of Pine Bluff, Tanner Hall of Oil Trough, Layla Hall and Cooper Hall of Batesville; great-great-grandchildren, Marlee and Jurnee Hickman, both of Stuttgart, and one on the way, Braelynn Grace Hickman.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Walter J. Branan whom passed away May 1, 1975; infant sister, brother, James Taylor Hall, and sister, Annleen Crain.
Visitation will be Friday, November 8, 2019, 6:00 to 8:00 PM, at Robinson’s.
Funeral services will be Saturday, November 9, 2019, 10:00 AM, in the Chapel of Ralph Robinson & Son with Reverends Mike Cottrell and Ronald Grundy officiating. Burial will follow at Graceland Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family has asked that memorials take the form of contributions to one of the following charities: American Heart Association, St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, Double Wells Assembly of God, or Teen Challenge.

Hubert Yarbrough, 74, of Pine Bluff, passed away on October 29, 2019.
He was born to the late Gilbert and Mary Yarbrough.
He leaves to cherish his memory to his brothers Elihugh (Willie B.) Yarbrough of Wabbaseka, Arkansas and James Yarbrough of Milwaukee, Wisconsin and host of nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.
