Fairy Taylor


Fairy Lee Taylor, age 89, of Sheridan, passed away peacefully February 11, 2020 at Sheridan Nursing and Rehab. She was born September 2, 1930 in Sheridan, Arkansas, to the late Hosea and Mabel Sally Ladd.


She worked for a Credit Union in Idaho and Montgomery Ward Department Store. Fairy enjoyed fishing, camping, square dancing, gardening, watching Golden Girls and spending time with her family and friends. She was member of First Southern Baptist Church of Sheridan, and had been a resident of Sheridan Nursing and Rehab for the last 8 years.


In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Clyne E. Taylor, son, Allen Graves, step-son, Cline “Butch” Taylor; brothers, Amos Ladd, Eamil Ladd, Talmage Ladd, Glynn Ladd, and sister Crystal Ladd Barnes.


Fairy is survived by her daughter Shirley Ferguson (Ron), step-daughters Melanie Archer (Craig) and Mary Pennington (Downey) 20 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, her brother Harold Ladd, sister Barbara Hamilton (Paul), sister-in-law Marge Ladd and numerous nieces and nephews.


The family would like to thank the staff of Sheridan Nursing and Rehab and her granddaughter and companion Shannon Barker who has been caring for Fairy for the last four years.


Funeral service will be 2:00 p.m., Saturday, February 15, 2020, at Buie Funeral Home of Sheridan. Visitation will be from 12:30 p.m. until the time of the service. Vivian Verneda White was born December 31, 1927, and was welcomed to her Heavenly Home on January 31, 2020. Dedrick Parker


Dedrick Parker, the youngest of twin boys, was born on July 8, 1995, in Pine Bluff, Arkansas, to the late Angela Parker.


He confessed faith in Jesus Christ and was baptized on February 19, 2011, at Family Church in White Hall, Arkansas. Dedrick found joy in serving. His favorite thing to do was spreading the love of Jesus. He spent the last moments of his life sharing the Good News of Jesus’ love for all mankind.


Dedrick attended White Hall High School in White Hall, Arkansas, where he received his diploma on May 15, 2014. He was highly intellectual and an exceptional student who aspired to become a cardiologist.


Dedrick loved all sports. His favorite teams were the Los Angeles Lakers and the Texas Longhorns. Dedrick and his twin brother Cedrick were inseparable. Their bond can only be understood by those who experienced the joy of twinship. They often would say “Everybody needs a twin.”


Dedrick departed this life on January 28, 2020. He leaves to cherish his memory, two brothers: Davell Montrell Smith, Hornlake, Mississippi and his twin brother, Cedrick Parker, Pine Bluff, AR; two uncles: Jihad Mahdi Muhammad (Latoya Muhammad) Honorable Stepmom Felecia Muhammad, Pine Bluff, Arkansas, and Carl Nelson (Demetrice Honorable-Nelson), Little Rock, AR; a special cousin, Wardine Laws, and many close relatives and friends.
