Lynn Roberts


Buford Lynn Roberts, 80, of Pine Bluff, Arkansas, went to be with the Lord on April 18, 2020.


He was born October 30, 1939, in Rowell, to John Buford and Mable Roberts. He was a graduate of Watson Chapel High School.


Lynn retired from the Arkansas Department of Corrections after 25 years as a Construction Supervisor and was the Owner and Operator of Lynn Roberts Plumbing.


He was a member of Whispering Pines Cowboy Church, Past President of Pine Bluff Saddle Club for 16 years and Past President of Southeast Arkansas Horse Show Association.


He was preceded in death by his parents, John Buford and Mable Roberts; sisters, Jimmie Malone and Martha Crane.


Survivors include his wife, Nell Hankins Roberts, whom he married on June 3, 1960, in Pine Bluff; sons, Jeffery Lynn Roberts (LeAnn) of Pine Bluff, Stephen Allen Roberts (Pam) of Woodlawn; grandchildren, Gavin Roberts (Melissa) of Colorado, Shana James of Pine Bluff, Kacey McCoy of Benton; great-grandchildren, Lyla Mae McCoy, Brody McCoy, Tommy James; a brother, Donald Bruce Roberts of Pine Bluff and a sister, Barbara Dean of California.


Graveside service by Ralph Robinson & Son will be Tuesday, April 21, 2020, in New Home Cemetery with Reverend James Watson officiating. Webcasting will be uploaded to www.ralphrobinsonandson.com.


Wayne Mullikin


Thomas Wayne Mullikin, age 67, of Woodlawn, AR, passed away Thursday, April 16, 2020 in Malvern, AR. He was born August 6, 1952 in Pine Bluff, AR to the late William and Jane Blair Mullikin. Wayne retired from Star City High School where he taught math for many years. He was a member of Oak Grove Missionary Baptist Church in Woodlawn and was past president of the RC flying club in Pine Bluff. He enjoyed camping, traveling, motorcycling, playing with his dog, and landscaping.


Wayne is survived by his loving wife Glenda Williams Mullikin, daughters, Amber Castleberry (Jason), and Megan Mullikin, grandchildren, Aidan and Addison Castleberry, sisters, Patricia Wortsmith (Joe), and Laura Pierce (Richard), niece Misty Davis and nephew Spyke Mullikin.


Visitation will be from 1:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m., Sunday, April 19, 2020 at Buie Funeral Home in Rison. Bruce Lawson


Gerald Bruce Lawson, 85, of White Hall, went to be with the Lord Monday, April 20, 2020. The world lost a wonderful husband, father, grandfather and friend.


He was born in Drew County July 19, 1934, and grew up in Monticello. His parents were Robert and Velma Cruce Lawson. Mr. Lawson worked in the welding supply business and was owner of Lawson Welding Supply Company in Pine Bluff.


After his retirement, he spent most of his time in Christian ministry. He was on staff at Family Church of White Hall, where he served as an elder, life group pastor, generation pastor, counselor and founder of Celebrate Recovery ministry at Family Church. He was a member of the American Association of Christian Counselors.


Mr. Lawson was loved by his family and friends and had many spiritual children and grandchildren. He was preceded in death by four sisters and one brother.


Survivors include his wife, Rachel Griffin Lawson; sons, Gerald Bruce “Jerry” Lawson, Jr. and his wife, Paige, of White Hall, Michael B. Lawson and his wife, Kathy, of Lebanon, Tennessee; seven grandchildren and one great-grandchild.


Funeral services will be online due to Covid-19 restrictions. The service will be available at familychurch.ws and can be watched 6:00 p.m., Tuesday, April 21, 2020. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Family Church Benevolence Fund or your favorite charity.
