James Hunt

James Hunt, 81 of Pine Bluff, AR, transitioned on Sunday, May 17, 2020, born February 2, 1939, to the late Charles Franklin Hunt and Beatrice Stewart Ja’Co in England, Arkansas.

He was preceded in death by his parents, a child-Jaime Hunt, brothers Charles Franklin Hunt, Jr. and Leon Hunt, sisters Easter Ashford and Erma Lee Fisher.

He leaves to cherish his memories children, Aretha Hunt-Brown, Diane Hunt-Cooper, James Hunt, Jr., Wanda Hunt, Jerome Hunt, David Hunt, Rita Aretha Hunt-Lightner, Deloris Hunt, James Earl Hunt, Michael Hunt, Marie Hunt, Saundra Hunt, Mark Hunt, Charles Hunt, Jeanette Hunt, Annette Hunt-Eggleston, John Joshua Hunt, Alexander Christian Hunt, Christina Denise Hunt, Beatrice Elizabeth Hunt-Hosey, Tajuana Hunt-Jasper, Chelsea Renea Hunt and Shermil Hunt; brother Attorney Eugene Hunt (Mary), sisters Willie Beatrice Fisher, Ruthie Hunt-Harrison, Shirley V. Hunt and Yvonne Hunt and many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.

The public visitation service on Monday, May 18, 2020, from 5:00 - 6:00 PM. Graveside service, Tuesday, May 19, 2020. at 11:00 AM, Cypress Memorial Garden Cemetery, Highway 63 South. Due to CDC, everyone is asked to adhere to the social distancing.

May Myers

May Evelyn Johnson Myers was Popeye to her Grandfather; Evelyn, Mom, Nanny Evelyn, and Aunt Evelyn to her biological family; Ms. Evelyn to her Shiloh Church and community families; and May-May to her Alcoa Pines Family.

May Evelyn was an independent person who was thankful and made the most of what little she had without complaining. Her methods of solving problems were unique and creative. She accomplished the most challenging tasks with common and easily accessible tools. Above all, she lived by her own rules. She had uncommon strength of faith, love, sheer will, and determination. On May 16, 2020, she decided to leave this life and return to God.

May Myers, of Sheridan, Arkansas, was born March 6, 1930 in Augusta, Arkansas, the daughter of the late Edgar and Mary Bohannon Johnson. She was a member of Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church in Sheridan. She enjoyed fishing, embroidering and going to the Grant County Senior Citizens Center. She considered the people of the Shiloh Community her extended family.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Luther Lee “Luke” Myers; brothers, James Johnson and his wife, Marie, and Donnie Johnson.

Survivors: son, Danny (Stephanie) Myers of Sheridan; daughters, Mira (Joe) Shaw of Venus, Texas, Margie Myers of Bryant; sisters, Diane Nutz of England, Donna (Danny) Houser of England; 3 grandchildren, Zabretha Johnson, Christopher Myers, Madison Myers; 5 great grandchildren, Cole Johnson, Grace Johnson, Kolbie Gardner, Kaylee Gardner, Skylar Willard .

Due to Covid-19, there will be no visitation. Graveside funeral services will be held at 10:00 A.M., Wednesday, May 20, at Jones Cemetery, near Redfield, with Bro. Danny Hill officiating. The procession will leave the funeral home at 9:30 a.m., if anyone would like to follow.

James Whisenant

James Isaac Whisenant, 33, of Pine Bluff passed into the arms of Jesus Sunday, May 17, 2020, while at home with his mother and father.

He was born February 9, 1987 in Little Rock. Although he suffered cerebral palsy all his life, he faced it courageously to the end. He was a blessing to all who knew him and will be missed by his family and all his caregivers.

James attended Jenkins Memorial for several years. He was a lifelong member of First Assembly of God, attending when he could.

James was preceded in death by his loving grandparents, Bob and Rosa Nolen and Coy Whisenant.

He is survived by his parents, Leslie and Zenita Whisenant of Pine Bluff; grandmother, Dorothy Whisenant of Dublin, Texas; one sister, Liesel Cottrell (Seth) of Whispering Pines, N.C.; one brother, Zachary Whisenant of Fayetteville, Arkansas; three nephews, Caleb, Joshua and Nathan, also of Whispering Pines plus numerous uncles, aunts and cousins.

Visitation will be Tuesday from 5-7 PM at Ralph Robinson and Son Funeral Home.

Graveside services will be held at the Eastland, Texas Cemetery at 10 AM on Thursday by Edwards Funeral Home, Eastland, Texas.

James would like to remind us of Isaiah’s words, 35:5-6: Then will the eyes of the blind be opened and the ears of the deaf unstopped. Then will the lame leap like a deer and the mute tongue shout for joy.

Alice says, “Ann used to make all of my clothes when I was younger and I still have some of those clothes today”.

Gloria says, “The last time we saw Ann we had so much fun. We laughed and laughed and laughed from the belly. The word of God says ‘A merry heart does good, like medicine’.”

Sheila Kay Molock, age 80, of Pine Bluff, passed away Sunday, May 17, 2020.

Terry L. Haney

Terry L. Haney was born in Pine Bluff, September 7, 1961, and went to be with Jesus May 14, 2020. He was preceded in death by his father, Haskell Haney and his aunt Bonnie Magee.

He is survived by his daughter, his pride and joy, Eden Haney, mother Maxine Haney, two sisters, Beverly (Benny) Hatcher of Beebe, and Donna Haney of Jacksonville, three uncles Glenn Magee of Searcy, Neal (Mary) Magee of Sheridan and Don (Sandy) Haney of Wyoming.

“I love my father and am not thinking of him as leaving us, his journey has just begun. He is resting, free of pain, sadness and tears.”

James Pittillo

James Edward Pittillo, age 96, of White Hall, left his earthly home for his heavenly home on May 17, 2020 Mr. Pittillo was born December 31, 1923, in McGehee, Arkansas, the son of the late James Earnest and Rosie Stuart Pittillo.

Mr. Pittillo was reared and received his education in McGehee. An avid lover of the outdoors, he enjoyed camping, hunting, fishing, and gardening.

An Army veteran, Mr. Pittillo served in World War II, including campaigns in France, Belgium, and Germany, where he fought in the Battle of the Bulge. For his service, he received four Bronze Stars and a Purple Heart. Mr. Pittillo was a member of Bethany Missionary Baptist Church. He worked for Ben Pearson Archery for twenty-eight years and the White Hall School District for eight years.

Mr. Pittillo was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, an infant sister, an infant great-grandchild, his wife, Montre Perry Pittillo, whom he married July 18, 1942, and second wife, Tennie Tucker Pittillo, whom he married May 22, 1993.

Survivors include two sons and daughters-in-law, Wayne and Betty Pittillo of Horn Lake, Mississippi, and James “Buddy” and LaDell Pittillo of White Hall; a daughter and son-in-law, Alma and Wendell Boast of White Hall; a step-daughter, Barbara Duckworth of White Hall; six grandchildren; four step-grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; 11 step-great-grandchildren; and a sister-in-law, Jean Perry Robbins of Texas.

The family would like to express special gratitude to the doctors, nurses, and staff at Jefferson Regional and The Waters of White Hall for the care they gave during their loved one’s last days.

The family will gather for a private graveside service at 2:00 on Wednesday, May 20th, at Memorial Park Cemetery with Bro. Jonathan Witcher officiating. The service will be webcast on our website, RalphRobinsonandSon.com
