What is in you Christian Portfolio? The three major types of portfolios are: working portfolios, demonstration portfolios, and assessment portfolios.
One day, all of us will stand before God to give account for our Life Portfolio. For it is written: “As surely as I live, says the Lord, every knee will bow before me; every tongue will acknowledge God.”
Every one of us will give an answer to God about ourselves. The financial portfolio is a collection of investments held by an individual, family, business investment company and financial institution. God the Father holds the largest finance portfolio of all times which was, is and to come.
The earth is the Lord’s, and everything in it. The world and all its people belong to him for he founded it on the seas and established it on the waters (Psalms 24:1-2). God is the greatest artist of all times. Should His art portfolio display His Glory? An artist’s work or a case is used to display artwork and photographs.
We are made in His glory, Then God said, “Let us make mankind in our image, in our likeness, so that they may rule over the earth (Gen. 1:26). Then I went down to the potter’s house, and, behold, he wrought a work on the wheels. And the vessel that he made of clay was marred in the hand of the potter: so he made it again another vessel, as seemed good to the potter to make it.” (Jeremiah 18:3-4)
But now, O lord, You are our Father, We are the clay, and you are our potter; and all of us are the work of your hand (Isaiah 64:8).
“For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.”
Then you will call on me and come and pray to me, and I will listen to you. You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart.
Also, there are the career portfolios which are used to plan, organize and document education, work experiences, skills, certifications and licenses etc. People use career portfolios for a number of reasons like applying to jobs, universities and/or colleges training programs, get a better benefits package by showing transferable skills. How is Your Christian Portfolio? Career portfolios serve as proof of one’s skills, abilities, and potential in the future.
How is your portfolio doing in this market? In the professional world there is career development plan which is a way to set future goals for progression in a chosen career. This plan is something that an employee creates on maybe at times with the assistance of a career counselor, mentor, family member or even a present employer.
As Christians, we have life development plans and our portfolios should include the fruit of the Spirit. The Fruit of the Holy Spirit is a biblical term that sums up nine attributes of a person who’s living in accord with the Holy Spirit according to the Epistle to the Galatians: “But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control.”
Corinthians 2:14 tells us that, “… the natural man received not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned.”
The lost man cannot fully understand the things of God but the Christian should, if not with his mind then with his faith. What are you thinking about doing with your Christian Portfolio?
