Like the majority of voters in Arkansas I’m a registered Democrat, and like most, my family has voted Democratic for generations.

The Democratic Party used to be a party to stand up for, a party to be proud of. It seems that the party has changed along the way.

The Democratic Party has been known as the party of entitlements, which seems to be a good thing, but when the country is over $17 trillion in debt and with no solutions in sight, one has to wonder how it can continue.

It used to stand up for all of the little guys and girls, but that changed when Roe vs. Wade came along. That was when the Democratic Party decided it would be OK to kill some of the littlest guys and girls through abortion if that was what the mother wants.

The Democratic Party now stands up for men to marry men and women to marry women, for that has not been so since the beginning of time as far as the holy scriptures. The Democratic Party even voted three times against recognizing God at the last presidential election convention.

The Democratic Party has changed so much in my lifetime and that’s why as a conservative Christian Democrat, I vote Republican in statewide and national elections; in doing this I don’t feel like I have felt the Democratic Party. I feel the party has left me. Are there others that feel like I do or am I the last conservative Democrat?
