The Arkansas Council for International Visitors has tentatively selected the Jefferson County Election Commission to demonstrate iVotronics voting equipment to six international visitors.

The visit is scheduled for 11 a.m. Sept. 1. The visitors will be escorted by Susan Inman, Arkansas County Election Commission’s Association president.

The visitors are invited to the United States under the Department of State’s International Visitor Leadership Program and the program is arranged by the Institute of International Education.

“I’ve coordinated with the CBEC chairman, coordinator and technician and we will have two iVotronics to demo along with a printer pack,” said Stuart D. Soffer, Republican member of the Jefferson County Election Commission.

The plan also includes lunch at Harbor Oaks restaurant and possibly a tour of the Delta Rivers Nature Center.
