Central Arkansas Development Council will distribute U.S. Department of Agriculture commodities Tuesday and Wednesday in Dallas County.

Distributions will begin at 9 a.m. at the CADC Fordyce Office at Fordyce and First Baptist Church at Sparkman.

The food items to be distributed may include canned spinach, canned mixed vegetables, canned tomato soup, grapefruit juice, canned peaches, dried pitted plums and canned beef stew.

To receive commodities, all participants must show photo identification. To be eligible, income guidelines must be met. The income guidelines for this program are based on 130 percent of the Federal Poverty Guidelines. Based on these guidelines, a one person household must make less than $14,157 per year to qualify for this program. For each additional family member, add $4,966.

Also, CADC announced that its winter Low Income Home Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP) ended April 20 because funds were depleted.
