The recent observance at the White Hall Veteran’s Monument was a wonderful tribute to our men and women in the Armed Forces who have given a full measure of devotion to their country. It was well attended by both veterans and active military and by citizens who were there to pay tribute and show their thanks.

It is fitting that we pay a big “thank you” to the following who helped make the program possible: the small American flags that were distributed were compliments of Glen Minor, Stu Soffer, and Ted Harden; the First Baptist Church for the breakfast; the employees of the City of White Hall for their help with preparations; the White Hall Policeman’s Support; White Hall Volunteer Fire Department for the ladder to raise the American Flag; all program participants including the 106th Army Band from Camp Robinson; Billy Coble of KTRN 104.5 for a superb job of announcements and sound equipment; Sgt. Adams and the WHJROTC for the color guard; the Fallen Riders and Abate Bikers Association; the Pine Bluff Commercial and White Hall Progress; the White Hall Journal; Chris Cranford for his canopy, Bill and Paula Beadle the veteran’s banner; and all program participants including Bo Fontaine; Paul Williams, Noel Foster, Dr. Ron Wise; Allen Cash; Dr. Richard Bailey; Bernice Foster, Brenda Doucey; Helen Hulse, and Jean Boast.

Lest we forget, “All gave some, some gave all.” Let our hat or shake the hand each time we meet a veteran or active duty military to show our thanks.
