Twelve days after beating Dumas by one point at home, the Fillies shot close to 70 percent in the first half en route to a 34-8 lead and did not look back Tuesday in a 55-28 victory over the Lady Bobcats.
“We were just on,” Moore said.
Pine Bluff’s Brittany Wright led all scorers with 22 points, including 18 in the first half, and Ajia Richardson added 19 points. For Dumas, Shabr’an Richardson and A’Diamond Johnson each scored 11.
Pine Bluff (4-2) won’t play again until a Dec. 6 home game against Wynne.
Star City 49, Maumelle 42
MAUMELLE — The Lady Bulldogs improved to 7-0 behind Olydia Thornton’s 16 points and Tyeshia Harris’ 10.
Star City opened up a 7-5 first-quarter lead to go into halftime ahead 20-15. The Lady Bulldogs led 36-30 after three quarters.
Drew Central 55, McGehee 44
MONTICELLO — Three Lady Pirates scored in double figures to help their team stay unbeaten Tuesday night.
Adrunna Simpson led Drew Central (6-0) with 14 points, followed Kari Milton’s 13 and Iesha Smith’s 10. Drew Central led 32-22 at halftime.
Drew Central 60, McGehee 56
MONTICELLO — Free throws down the stretch helped the Pirates (7-0) put away the Owls (0-1) on Tuesday night.
McGehee, last year’s 4A state semifinalist, erased a 34-24 halftime deficit and led by one point, only for Drew Central to make plays down the stretch.
Damarius Thomas had 20 points and Dominique Rhodes 16 for Drew Central.
For McGehee, Dontez Racy scored 20 points and Zach Ellis added 15.
